This is a complete set of sterling silver salt spoons that were manufactured in Japan from the early 1930s until the late 1940s. This set is in a wood box with brass hinges and covered with a red paper. The box is in below average shape considering the age of this item. The forks have custom tops on each one - including a water bucket, a home, a paper fan, a hat, a Nori gate, sandals, a helmet, a water basin, a Buddha a lantern, a tea kettle, and a pagoda. The box is lined with peach felt. Each fork measures approximately 4 inches long and they are made to look like Bamboo stems. The spoon bases are made in the shape of the Chrysanthemum flower.
